Definition of “stanning”
Initially “stan” was a slang term used to describe an over-the-top level obsession. A mixture of “stalker” and “fan”, it was commonly used in negative light.
But like most things they get their grubby mitts on, KPop Twitter changed that entirely.
“Stanning” a character or individual is essentially being so loyally attached to them that they become a key part of what shapes your personality or interests.
